Chan Shuk Fan suffered from poliomyelitis at a young age, but art has changed her life by unleashing her potential and creativity, as well as boosting her self-confidence. Her talents and hard work are recognised by the numerous art awards that she has won over the years.
Chan Shuk Fan’s passion in art was ignited after she won second place in the “Hong Kong Abilympics” rattan ware competition in 1995. She regularly competed in art competitions ever since, and many of her entries have received high acclaim from the judges. Most notably, she came first in the floral arrangement competition at the “Hong Kong Abilympics” in 2003 and 2011, and her floral arrangement artwork received Special Mention at the “8th International Abilympics” in 2011.
Shuk Fan’s life motto is “Persevere, innovate and learn”. She is currently learning sand-painting and juggling to enrich her art, and to bring happiness to other people.
