Anson started playing the piano at the age of six. He has an ATCL Performance Diploma in piano (Distinction) from the Trinity College London, as well as a Grade 8 Certificate for Violin from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. In 2014, Anson received a grant from the “Artists with Disability Development Fund”, sponsored by the Lee Hysan Foundation, which made it possible for him to further his training under Mr Alan Chu, the Principal Keyboard of the Hong Kong Sinfonietta.
Anson is regularly invited to perform in schools and at art events. He has also performed alongside many renowned musicians and orchestras, including Midori Gotō, the Hong Kong Youth Strings, the Hong Kong Fantasia Symphony Orchestra and the Asian Chamber Orchestra.
His musical excellence is recognised on numerous occasions. In 2012 Anson is the recipient of the Merit Award at the “Hong Kong Outstanding Teens Election” organised by the Hong Kong Playground Association. He also won The Most Outstanding Performer Award (Children and Youth) at the event “Cross All Borders: Hong Kong Festival Showcasing New Performing Artists with Disabilities 2013” organised by the ADA.
